Let’s Talk About Race is a hands-on, interactive workshop series. Come prepared to listen, speak, and learn from collective experiences. Space for this workshop is limited.
Part two will focus on two major components of white supremacy: implicit bias and microaggressions. White supremacy hurts communities of color in more ways than you can imagine- including in the realm of reproductive health. Let's actively work on ourselves so that our words and actions as birth workers aren't adding to that pain.
Our healthcare system puts birthing people of color at higher risks for death and complications in childbirth. It is our duty, as birth workers, to be aware of how we can either be inflicting more harm or helping challenge these disparities.
